Moving On When You Must
As they say about relationships, sometimes it just isn’t meant to be. You may have bought your house with great expectations during the greatest of times: good career; robust income; opportunity to grow income; strong economy; healthy income for your spouse, too; and an energetic real-estate market—if not in boom, at least healthy enough to expect single-digit price increases each year. But it didn’t turn out that way. The economy faltered. Something in your personal economy faltered, like a health crisis or disability. And the housing market faltered. Or, as happened to many in 2007–2008, all three at once, the perfect storm.
